Upcoming Tata CNG cars in 2023: At this year’s Auto Expo, Tata Motors displayed the Punch CNG and Altroz CNG vehicles. The automaker has now said that the two CNG vehicles would be come in the market in the first part of the coming fiscal year (i.e., 2023 – 2024). The vehicles’ powertrain consists of a 1.2-L gasoline engine with a factory-installed CNG kit that produces 97 Nm and 77 PS. The 5-speed manual gearbox provided, will be responsible for the transmission.

The CNG models are anticipated to cost about 1 lac more than their ordinary gasoline counterparts and may only be available in higher trims and mid-spec. Currently, the cost of Punch ranges from Rs. 6 lacs and Rs. 9.54 lacs, while the price of Altroz hatchback ranges from Rs. 6.35 lacs and Rs. 10.25 lacs. The prices shown above are all ex-showroom.
Upcoming Tata CNG cars in 2023
The Punch CNG and Tata Altroz CNG, in contrast to other CNG vehicles, feature twin-cylinder tanks with a 60-L capacity (30-L for each cylinder). Its boot space isn’t significantly used by the arrangement. The standard Punch and Altroz both have a 345-L and 366-L baggage capacity. The automaker claims that in order to assure a changeover to gasoline in the event of a gas leak, it has utilised the first-in-segment leakage detecting technology for CNG cylinders. Direct State CNG and Single Advanced ECUs are features of the newest Tata CNG vehicles.
The Punch CNG and Tata Altroz CNG will come with a variety of features, including automatic climate control, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, push button start, rear camera displays, cruise control, a 7-inch Harman infotainment system with Android Auto connectivity and Apple CarPlay, leather upholstery, auto-folding ORVMs, a 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, projector headlamps, reverse park assist cameras, R16 dual-tone alloy wheels, LED DRLs, shark fin antennas and many more.
