Upcoming Maruti Suzuki SUV
Over the following several years, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to increase the number of SUVs available in India. With an SUV built on the eVX prototype that debuted at the 2023 Auto Expo, the Indo-Japanese carmaker will enter the EV (electric vehicle) market. Maruti Fronx
The Heartect platform-based brand-new Fronx crossover will be available in Alpha, Zeta, Delta, Delta+, and Sigma trim levels. A 1.0-L Boosterjet gasoline engine and a 1.2-L K series normally aspirated gasoline engine are the two powertrain choices available to buyers.

The former is enough for 90 bhp and 113 Nm, but the latter can produce a maximum of 147.6 Nm of torque and 100 bhp. The 6-speed automatic torque convertor (with paddle shifters) and 5-speed manual gearbox choices are available for the Boosterjet motor. Both a 5-speed AMT and a 5-speed manual gearbox are available for the naturally aspirated gasoline engine.
Maruti Jimny
The Mahindra Thar 5-door, which won’t be available until 2023, will be pitted against the SUV – Maruti Jimny 5-door. The off-road SUV has a 1.5 – L K 15 B gasoline engine that produces 134 Nm of torque and 105 bhp energy. Users can find its availability in the Alpha and Zeta versions, both of which include low-range transfer gear and Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4X4 powertrain technology.
The departure, break, and approach angles for the SUV are 50 degrees, 24 degrees, and 35 degrees, respectively. It has a 210 mm ground clearance and is equipped with a 3-link rigid axle suspension and an electronic traction control system.
Maruti 7-Seater SUV
The new Maruti SUV 7-seater is the most anticipated among consumers and is soon to be released. The Grand Vitara will serve as the model’s foundation, and both vehicles will share the majority of its design cues, attributes, and parts. The next Maruti 7-seater SUV’s drivetrain will have a 1.5-L Atkinson cycle gasoline engine and a 1.5-L K 15 C gasoline engine. This SUV will be Maruti Suzuki’s most costly one and would be made in the new Kharkhoda facility in Haryana. The model’s details and official name are not yet known.
Maruti EVX
The recently reported in-development Hyundai Creta EV will be up against the concept-based electric SUV of the Maruti eVX. Early 2025 is when the model is most likely to go on sale. It’s interesting to note that it will be the Indo-Japanese carmaker’s first electric vehicle to be built on the born-EV architecture. The wheelbase of the SUV will be 2700 mm, whereas the length would be more than 4.2 meters.

The automaker stated that it is developing six new electric vehicles for the Indian market.
