Maruti Suzuki, the leading car manufacturer in India, has launched black edition versions of its popular MPV, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and compact SUV, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, adding a bold and stylish option to its lineup. The special editions come with blacked-out cosmetic updates and unique features to attract younger buyers who prefer a sporty and trendy look. Both Ertiga and Brezza Black Editions feature an all-black theme, with a glossy black finish on the grille, alloy wheels, roof rails, ORVMs, and front and rear skid plates. The blacked-out theme extends to the interior as well, with black upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and black-painted accents on the dashboard and door trims.
Apart from the cosmetic updates, the Black Editions have some exclusive features, enhancing the overall experience. The Ertiga Black Edition gets an upgraded 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a reverse parking camera with sensors, and keyless entry. On the other hand, the Brezza Black Edition comes with a 9-inch SmartPlay studio infotainment system, connected car technology, wireless charging, and auto-dimming IRVM.
The Engine and Transmission
Under the hood, both editions remain unchanged, powered by the same engines and transmission options as their regular counterparts. The Ertiga Black Edition is available in both petrol and diesel options, with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 105 PS of power and 138 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine churns out 95 PS of power and 225 Nm of torque.

Both engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Brezza Black Edition, on the other hand, is available only in petrol, with a 1.5-litre engine producing 105 PS of power and 138 Nm of torque. It comes with a choice of either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The Ertiga Black Edition is priced at Rs. 11.71 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the petrol variant and Rs. 13.21 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the diesel variant. The Brezza Black Edition is priced at Rs. 11.79 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the manual variant and Rs. 12.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the automatic variant.
