BMW X1 2023
In India, the third-generation BMW X1 has just been introduced with a price starting from only Rs. 45.90 lacs. Compared to its previous models, the engine is powered by both gasoline and diesel; however, it seems to be lacking an all-wheel drive system. The commencing price for the gasoline version is Rs. 45.90 lacs, whereas, for the diesel variant, the prices start from Rs. 47.90 lacs.
According to the manufacturer, it is the vehicle comes under the category of Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) and now comes with much more angular bumper creases, headlights, sharper, along with new inverted L-shaped Daytime Running Lamps, a more prominent grille, and brushed silver highlights. The SUV has a smooth flush door and exterior handles. The newest model comes with alloy wheels measuring 18 inches.

The rear has a sculpted rear bumper with the same silver highlights as the slim wraparound LED taillights and the front. The redesigned X1’s interior has a dashboard revamped. The X1’s first curved infotainment screen is the new one. Compared to the previous generation, the cabin seems to display an increased luxury, and the dash now seamlessly incorporates the tiny AC vents.

According to BMW, the new X1 boasts a 476 liters trunk and much greater space for passengers in the back seats. The new X1 comes with various features, including a 10.70-inch infotainment screen with a 12-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a floating instrument console, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and more.
The new X1 has two different powertrain options: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine and a 1.5-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine. The gasoline engine has a peak torque of 230 Nm and a 136 bhp power output – the maximum in the range. The diesel engine, comparatively, has a maximum torque output of 360 Nm and a power output of 150 bhp.
The diesel engine is connected to a 7-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, while the gasoline engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. According to BMW, the diesel model, in 8.9 sec, can reach 100 km/h, while the gasoline model can accomplish that in 9.2 sec.

The new X1 is prepared to fight in India’s market against vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz GLA, Volvo XC40, and others. Bookings for the car, which comes in the MSport and xLine models, are currently being accepted for the minimum price of Rs 50,000.
