The Honda Amaze and the Honda City will be the only two models available in our market beginning in April 2023. On the other hand, Honda has revealed that it intends to bring an all-new midsize SUV to the nation by the middle of 2023.
A photo of Honda’s forthcoming midsize SUV that is expected to be shown in the spring or summer of 2023 (that is, April or May), has been released by the company as a teaser. It is anticipated that the debut of this brand-new SUV would take place over the holiday season, prior to Diwali.

In addition to this, Honda has begun testing the updated City sedan on Indian roads. This comes as no surprise. It is anticipated that the revised version of the City will be released between March and April of 2023. This is because the new real-driving emission regulations, also known as BS 6 Stage 2, will be implemented beginning in April.

The new Honda SUV will compete with other sport utility vehicles such as the Kia Seltos, the Hyundai Creta, the Maruti Grand Vitara, the MG Astor, the Toyota Hyryder, and the Volkswagen Taigun. The teaser picture reveals that the new SUV would take its design ideas from larger Honda SUVs such as the redesigned HR-V and CR-V. It will feature a roofline that is reminiscent of a coupe, similar to the one on the newest generation of the Honda HR-V.

If one is to trust the reports, the next-generation Honda SUV will include the same all-electronic design and screen system that is available on the latest models of the CR-V and the Accord. It is possible that it will come with an infotainment system measuring 12.3 inches with a touchscreen and a new driver display measuring 10.2 inches digital.
Additionally, it is possible that the SUV will be equipped with a camera-based advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) known as the Honda Sensing. Adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, high-beam assist, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and road departure mitigation are some of the features it provides.

The new Honda SUV would be propelled by a 1.5-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine as well as a 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle engine that is combined with an e:HEV hybrid technology that has two electric motors. At the moment, the City sedan is available with these several engine choices. The hybrid version will come with a single-gear ratio that is fixed, and it will have three different driving modes: electric vehicle, engine, and hybrid.

Both the interior and exterior of the redesigned Honda City will undergo some minor visual adjustments as part of the update. It will get new alloy wheels and updated taillights, as well as a larger grille with a thick chrome bar, a new fog lamp housing, and larger air dams.
It is anticipated that it would get a modernised infotainment system that is equipped with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The diesel engine option will not be made available for the new model. It will continue to be available with the standard 1.5L naturally aspirated gasoline engine as well as an Atkinson Cycle 1.5L naturally aspirated gasoline hybrid drivetrain.
